There is always something impressive in the yearly batch of Binibining Pilipinas candidates, and this year is no exception. This year, the batch doesn’t only boast of models and actresses, but a wide scope of professions and professionals.
Ana Thea Cenarosa, Philippine Netball athlete to the 2019 SEA Games – a former student athlete playing women’s basketball, she is one of the tallest candidate this year. She says that her greatest achievement so far was to represent the country in the South-east Asian Games held in the Philippines. She’s a sports advocate believing that sports should not be based on race, gender or age, and that it must be treated on the basis of equality.
Alexangela Salvador, Businesswoman/ CEO – this BS Management undergraduate form the Ateneo de Manila University put up an interior design & construction company at age 19, had a restaurant chain business at age 24 and built a realty development company that develops lots into commercial and residential spaces. Not to mention that she also wowed us during her Talent Night presentation with a very unconventional talent of doing welding and woodwork.
Lois Anne Badando, Registered Pharmacist – hailing from Marikina, this fresh faced beauty is a registered Pharmacist who graduated from the Centro Escolar University. She holds the title of Miss Marikina 2018 and also works to promote CLEAGO making her city a clean environment.
Lesley Anne Ticaro, Public School Teacher – Lesley graduated at the University of Southeastern Philippines with a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education, Major in English. She currently works as a Public School Teacher at the Sto. Niño National High School in the Talaingod District, Division of Davao del Norte.
Rowena Salusuya, Public School Teacher & Language Tutor – Rowena, or Rowee for short, is a LET board passer who works as a Business Development & Accounts Manager and Social Media Director for a couple of companies. She is also affiliated with Le Premier Language (which offer Asian and European languages training and foreign language related services) and A-HA! Learning Center (a free tutoring center for public school kids).
Alexandra Faith Garcia, Entrepreneur and Operations Head – She is a 26 year old Tourism Management graduate, and now working as the Operations Head of RED Sports PH, a sporting-event company under RED Entertainment. This triathlete also competed in and laded landed in the top 5 of the Century Tuna Superbods 2018. She joined her first triathlon event back in 2014 and got her first podium finish in the 2015 Century Tuna Ironman 70.3, a race consisting of a gruelling 1.9Km swim, 90Km bike and a 21Km run, where she finished second overall in her age group. Faith earned her first triathlon title in 2016 when she won the female 18-24 age group category of the Aboitiz Triathlon in Nasugbu, Batangas.
Ma. Ruth Erika Quin, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine – she is a graduate of the CLSU College of Veterinary Science and Medicine. A certified vet, it goes hand in hand that her advocacy is for animal welfare. She has worked with the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association and Love Vets Nature Veterinarians together with veterinary offices in many towns and cities, giving free medical and surgical attention to rescues, strays and household pets for the community.
Samantha Alexandra Panlilio, Senior Consultant – works for the family company, Boulevard Holdings Inc., specializing in land development, hotels and resorts. Samantha graduated with a degree in Business and Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine. Her previous work experience is also on the business-end of the company with CRM sytems and lead management, digital marketing and business development.
With that being said, you can gauge how diverse the backgrounds of the ladies are in the competition.
