8 Standouts at The 2022 Binibining Pilipinas Press Presentation

With the Binibining Pilipinas press presentation over and done, we list down the Binibinis that have the best bodies and impressive pasarelas!

Being in the room of the actual competition gave a different angle on how the performances of the 40 Binibining Pilipinas candidates are perceived. And with judges not relying on tv monitors or screens, we can safely say that what we saw on live is quite different on what is seen onstage.

BLOGGER’S NOTE: this list is a subjective list, and reflects our personal view of who delivered onstage during the July 5th BBP press presentation.

Before we head to the list of the 8 most impressive standouts, let me first just write down the honorable mentions:

  • Annalena Valencia Lakrini – stood out simply because of her commanding presence and height. The pasarela still needs to be polished but did overall a good job.
  • Karen Laurrie Mendoza – gave us face galore, although she seemed to have held back a bit in her pasarela. We’re hoping for a stronger walk in the next events.
  • Anne de Mesa – gave so many great poses and good angles, but there still is a need to work on the stage presence. Her pasarela was fine.
  • Jasmine Omay – she was quite noticeable in person during the live press presentation. She registers very well in the event, she was very memorable because she was so beautiful that day.
  • Yana Aduana – you cannot deny how glowing she truly is in person and a solid performance she gave during the press presentation. Yana needs to control the constant tilting of her head though as this was quite noticeable.
  • Jashmin Dimaculangan – what can we say about the repeater except that they brought their A-game on. Solid performance as usual from her but I have to point out the need to refine the transition of her facial expressions onstage as they seem to be abrupt.
  • Natasha Jung – love the energy she brought to the press presentation but she had lots of extra movements that could be interpreted as nervous energy. Some polishing on the aspect is perhaps needed heading to the finals.

Now let’s head on to the list of 8, in random order:

Christine Juliane Opiaza – arguably the best presentation skills in the press presentation. Hers was a performance worthy of the Bb. Pilipinas Grand International title. She brought supermodel stomp in her walk and everybody can’t help but buzz about her.

Chelsea Fernandez – she finally awoken from her slumber and we saw the kontesera back in the game. Love the vibes she brought in the venue which unfortunately didn’t seem to translate on the recorded video. Chelsea could very well be fit for any of the 4 titles up for grabs.

Chelsea had one of the best presentation last July 5th

Nicole Budol – she says she wants the Bb. Pilipinas Grand International title and she made her performance fit for it. Body and height, she has it all in spades and she cemented being a contender for BBP with her performance and presence onstage.

Gabby Basiano – she had a very clean, well executed pasarela with no mistakes in her turns albeit she ‘s a bit quick with her poses. Loving the facial expressions and the facial transitions she brought in the press presentation. Perhaps a little more energy come finals night to up the ante.

Gabby gave a clean presentation with lots of reasons to smile about.

Cyrille Payumo – being the tallest in the batch certainly is an advantage with legs that goes on for miles. She really showed why the veterans aren’t to be messed with as she brought in attitude with her fierce face that for a moment we imagined her looking like Miss Universe runner up Celina Jaitley of India.

Cyrille’s 5’11” frame gave her an advantage during the BBP Press Presentation

Elda Louise Aznar – height certainly has its advantages and Elda knew it by serving finesse onstage. She might be underrated as of the moment but pageant fans need to pay attention to this 5’10” glamazon. We expect more from her in the coming weeks leading to the finals.

Roan Tamondong – give it to the 19 year old candidate to educate her batch on having womanly moves on the runway. Roan didn’t need to overdo any turn, hers was a study of giving more by doing less. She didn’t have extra unnecessary movements, her walk and poses were very much spot on…we see in Roan a woman who is in total control onstage.

Roan Tamondong’s womanly pasarela was among the smoothest in the batch

Graciella Lehmann – there is that trademark suave Graciella moves onstage. Her walk was like fine wine that is so smooth to the taste. Graciella delivered as expected on the runway but we still want her to practice having facial transitions onstage. She needs to give us fierceness and sweetness, both sultry and saccharine looks as she glides her way onstage.
